FAQ

Coffee catering, answered.

Everything you need to know about booking the KAVA coffee cart for your Santa Barbara event — pricing, logistics, menu, and more.

How much does coffee catering cost in Santa Barbara?
Our private-event packages start at $450 and include setup, the cart, and one barista for the first two hours. Pop-ups (where guests pay) start at a $350 booking fee. Use the live calculator on the Book Us page for an instant estimate based on guest count, hours, and travel.
How many drinks can you serve per hour?
A single barista comfortably pulls 40–50 specialty drinks per hour. For events with 75+ guests we recommend adding a second barista to keep the line short.
What areas do you serve?
We serve all of Santa Barbara County — Santa Barbara, Montecito, Summerland, Carpinteria, Goleta, Hope Ranch, and the Santa Ynez Valley. Travel beyond 15 miles is billed at $2.50/mile round-trip.
What's on the menu?
Espresso, americano, cappuccino, latte, cortado, macchiato, mocha, hot chocolate, matcha, chai, and seasonal specials. Oat, almond, and whole milk standard. Custom signature drinks available for weddings.
How far in advance should I book?
For weddings and large events, 2–6 months ahead is ideal. Smaller pop-ups and corporate gatherings can often be booked with 2–4 weeks' notice, subject to availability.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes — a 50% deposit secures your date, with the balance due one week before the event. Deposits are refundable up to 30 days before the event.
Can guests pay for their own drinks?
Absolutely. Choose the Pop-up format on the Book Us page — you pay a flat booking fee, and your guests order and pay at the cart.
What do you need on-site?
A 10x10 flat space, access to standard power (one 110V outlet), and shade if outdoors over 80°F. We're fully self-contained otherwise — water, ice, cups, milks, all syrups included.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — we carry general liability insurance and meet all Santa Barbara County health permit requirements. Certificates available on request for venue coordinators.
Do you offer latte art or signature drinks?
Every drink we pour includes latte art. For weddings and brand activations, we design a custom signature drink (and menu card) for your event at no extra charge.
